2023: APC Calls For Extension Of Voters’ Registration
. . . Calls For Additional Registration Centres.
North-West zone of the ruling All Progressives Congress ( APC ), has called for the extension of the voters’ registration exercise.
The call for the extension, according to the party followed mass rush by eligible voters to get registered ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Meanwhile, the party has also calls for the creation of additional registration centres, saying that the creation of additional registration centres would ease dificulty that were being faced by the eligible voters.
The Zonal Publicity Secretary, North West APC, Musa Mailafiya Mada, made the call while addressing newsmen in Kaduna on Friday, explaining that thousands of eligible voters might be disenfranchised as they could not beat the dateline.
According to him, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) should look inward and extend the exercise.
Said he; “we want to call on INEC to look inwards and extend the exercise so that people will get their PVCs. INEC should know that the whole exercise is about people. So it will not be unfair to disenfranchise them.
