2023 Polls: We are  educating  the Youths on PVCs, others – YMI Initiative

In its efforts towards ensuring that Youths of voting age participate fully in Nigeria’s February 2023 general elections, a Youth Group, Youth Making Impact (YMI) Initiative has sensitized young men and women on the need to possess their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) and partake in other electoral processes.

The President, Youth Making Impact (YMI) Initiative, Shalom Ernest made this known during an interface with newsmen in Jalingo the Taraba State capital.

Ernest, who told Journalists that YMI members were in Jalingo to celebrate the Association’s 5th  Anniversary posited that YMI attach much importance to the Nation’s 2023 general elections.

As young men and women according to him, we owe it a duty to exercise our franchises by voting the right people into power.

“We have educated our members  on PVCs registration and collection and the need for them to go and vote”,

“We told them, this time is not the period to sit and fold their hands as young people, they must contribute their quota towards making sure that the right thing is done”, he said.

The President and Convener of the Programme, Shalom Ernest added that Youth Making Impact (YMI) came into existence in 2018 with the aim of building healthy relationships in the lives of Nigerian Youths with a view to propelling them achieve their God given dreams.

He further disclosed that the Programme was aimed at urging

the Youths to be focused and determined towards getting their destination.

“The Resource Persons drawn from different parts of the Country  unanimously urged the youths to stay clear from friends that would frustrate their ambitions in life.

“Don’t allow people that are destructive to your  purpose come into your life”,

“Invite the right people into their lives, go into relationships that will sharpen their lives, if you want to be incharge of your life, be focused.” he said.

Ernest also said the Youths were charged to apply the principles of successful people by taking the Driver Seat, feeding themselves with information that would transform their lives.
