Open Grazing: Catholic Arch Bishop Ndagoso urges Government to provide ranching apparatus for Herdsmen
Catholic Arch Bishop of Kaduna Arch Bishop Matthew Manoso Ndagoso today urged Nigerian Government to expedite actions on the provision of ranching apparatus as open Grazing has become obsolete.
The ArchBishop of Kaduna stated this today at a Pastoral Visit at Kasuan Mageni
According to him, the tradition though an ancient practice which needs reformation, but Government must rigorously provide herdsmen with needed apparatus for ranching as most Herders lacks the technicalities in ranching.
Ndagoso revealed that following consistent origin of Kaduna crisis from Kasuan Mageni, the Catholic Arch Bishop of Kaduna deem it fit to embarck on this Pastoral Visit to the Sakin Kasuan Mageni Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi to continue the Gospel of peace for both Christian and Muslims to embrace peace and allow development to drive.
ArchBishop Ndagoso who thanked the Community for the warm reception charged the Sakin Kasuan Mageni to continue on the part of harmonious relationship he is building.
“The market that exists here, the hospital, roads and all social amenities in Kasuan Mageni can not be utilized in an atmosphere of crisis and so we will partner our Christian Brothers from other denomination to continue to build Bridges of peace ” He added.
Responding, the Sarkin Kasuan Mageni Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi commended the giant stride of the Catholic Arch Bishop of Kaduna Arch-diocese for leading the part of peace building.
Alhaji Abdullahi who recounted several times the Muslim youths teamed up with Christian to fight kidnappers as a great sign of peace building in the community stressing that he and his Muslim community will always seek lasting peace.
