The immediate past President of Trade Union Congress (TUC), Comrade Bobbi Kaigama, Vice Chancellor of Federal University Wukari, Prof. Abubakar Kundiri and member of the governing council of Federal University Abeokuta, Dr. Yakubu Tor-Agbidye on Wednesday lauded President Buhari for assigning Sale Mamman as Minister of Power.
In their separate reactions the trio said the choice of Mamman, an Electrical Engineer by training to oversee the ministry of Power as Minister was the round peg in a round hole.
Kaigama in a telephone interview with our correspondent said, “Mamman is an electric engineer by training. His choice as Minister of power is a right choice. This next level agenda is indeed for Taraba State.
“Mamman, a Taraba indigene coming at a time the Mambilla power project in the State is about to take off is very good for the success of the project.
“You have a project like Mambilla Power Project in your state and you are given Minister to supervise the project its certainly an uncommon thing to happen. I want to thank President Buhari for this wisdom. We are indeed happy and grateful.
Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Wukari in Taraba State, Prof. Abubakar Kundiri in his reaction commended President Muhammadu Buhari for assigning Mamman to to oversee the power sector.
“Mamman is member of the governing council of this University and has contributed well to the growth of the University and as an electrical engineer, he will do well in the power sector.
“We are happy for his appointment and we are sure he will deliver on the assignment for the good of the country,”he said.
On his part, Dr. Yakubu Tor-Agbidye said Mamman, who is an electrical engineer was most qualified to superintend over the power ministry especially at this crucial time that Nigerians were in serious need of efficient power was good for the country.
Tor-Agbidye urged the new minister to do his best and ensure that the Next Level agenda in power sector was achieved.
