As the controversy between the former leadership of the Taraba state House of Assembly and the Executive arm ended yesterday, the new leadership of the house had comfirmed 24 commissioner nominees today, Tuesday December 2019.
According to some reliable sources from the state Assembly and some from the part of the executive, told our Correspondent that the state Governor Darius Ishaku had since shortlisted the list of the commissioner nominees for the lesgislatures approval, but due to the hostility and sudden break of cordial relationship between the two arms, it could not be done earlier than now as expected by the electorates.
Our Correspondent at the state house of Assembly’s chamber also reports that the screening just concluded under the leadership of the Speaker, Joseph Allbasu Kunini who representing Lau constituency alongside other members of the house.
Our Correspondent however observed that both the former Speaker, Peter Diah and his Deputy, Charles Maijankai are absent at the event.
The governor replaced one nominee Abubakar Sule Ndigmay from Sardauna LGA and added two nominees including Imam Ibrahim for Jalingo and Edward Baraya for Karim Damido.
Meanwhile the house is full to capacity as hundreds of supporters, well wishers as well as families of the nominees are present to identify with them.
