A Commissioner designate in Taraba state, Hon. Ibrahim Imam has assured of his zeal and commitment to contribute his quota to continue with the rescue agenda of Governor Darius Ishaku’s administration to transform the state.
Imam who gave the assurance while fielding questions from Journalists in Jalingo on his sudden appointment as a member of the new cabinet of governor Ishaku for his second term, of assured the governor and people of Taraba state of his readiness to carry everyone along for the interest and development of the state.
Commenting on his sudden appointment, Hon. Ibrahim Imam attributed it to will of God, believing that anything God has designed for someone most surely reaches him and thanked the governor for finding him worthy to serve as one of his cabinet members to move the state to a greater height.
“I thanked God Almighty first for keeping me alive to see this day that after all sorts of things, His Excellency Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku nominated me as his Commissioner and i went through a thorough screening at the State House of Assembly and i was able to scaled through, and God so kind i was also sworn in by his Excellency, am really very grateful to him and God’s willing i will not disappoint him” Imam promised.
The Commissioner designate who described himself as the youngest among the new cabinet members, also urged people of the state to always show love and encouragement to the leaders as well as advise them positively for them to succeed in providing dividend of democracy for the masses.
Hon. Ibrahim Imam however, revealed that when he was a member represented Jalingo one from 2011-2015 and former Minority leader at the Taraba State House of Assembly had empowered many youths in his constituency among other projects.
Commenting on the deplorable condition of Jalingo/Numan road which is a Federal Government road, Imam described the situation as worrisome as many lives have been lost and property worth millions of naira were also destroyed as a result of the bad condition of the road.

According to him a journey that will take you one and half hour from Jalingo to Yola from you will end up spending 3-4 hours, therefore there need for our National Assembly representatives to rise up their responsibility and put pressure on the FG to ensure that by 2020 the challenges of the roads will be a thing of a past. Imam said.
However, the Commissioner designate noted that no society can developed in a chaos atmosphere, adding that “No matter how you try to bring Development if there is no peace you cannot achieve it, so people should give the government the necessary support and embrace peace and love one another as the slogan of governor Ishaku is ” Give me peace and i will give you development”
