APC Northwest strengthens reconciliatory drive ahead of 2023 elections

The All Progressives Congress, APC says efforts are being made to strengthen reconciliatory drive with aggrieved members of the party as part of it’s strategies to ensure victory ahead of 2023 polls.

Malam Musa Mada Mailafiya, APC National Zonal Publicity Secretary, Northwest disclosed during an interview with newsmen in Kaduna.

Mada said although the party would not disclose all of it’s strategies to the public, reconciliatory drive amongst aggrieved members was key strategy that would be pursued vigorously.

“This is necessary because any political party as strong as APC anywhere in the world must watch it’s steps before and after it’s primary election.”

“Naturally, there would be those offended one way or the other and their grievances might be either legitimate or illegitimate, not withstanding, as a party, you must reconcile them,” Mada stressed.

He further disclosed that the move was being taken with every sense of seriousness, adding, “we are proud that our National Chairman is already taking the bull by the horn beginning at the national level.

“As we embarked on our zonal tour, we interacted with stakeholders and from there, we were able to gather information and mapped out strategies on how to correct what needs to be corrected,” Mada mentioned.

He said the reconciliatory drive does not in any way suggest that the party was nursing fears of loosing election, stressing that, they have taken it as a challenge in ensuring no stone is left unturned”.

According to Mada, “the outcome of Osun state’s gubernatorial election could be attributed to the failure of reconciling party members.”

“The APC didn’t succeed in Osun polls due to in-house disputes in our party which has eaten deep down the very foundation upon which our party’s dominance stands.”

The Zonal secretary assured that, here in the Northwest, the party will all stakeholders and members alike all sense of belonging they deserve.

“I am confident that our National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu is taking steps towards doing the needful in uniting the membership of our great party across the country.
