APC will win Taraba in 2023- Sen Bwacha assures supporters

Sen. Emmanuel Bwacha, the Taraba  Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday assured supporters that the party  will take over the state in 2023 despite the  challenges facing it at the moment.

Bwacha, who disclosed this at a media briefing  in Jalingo said all litigations over his emergence as the governorship candidate of the party would soon be over.

The governorship hopeful who was reacting to the recent ruling of the federal high court sitting in Abuja that removed him as the Taraba APC Governorship Candidate and ordered a fresh primary election within 14 days, said he has appealed the ruling.

The case was instituted by Senator representing Taraba Central in the National Assembly, Alhaji  Yusuf Abubakar Yusuf challenging Bwacha’s emergence as the governorship candidate of the APC in the State.

Also, last month, the  Federal High Court sitting in Jalingo in a suit filed by another governorship aspirant, Chief David Sabo-Kente removed Bwacha as the party’s governorship flagbearer for the forthcoming general election and ordered another primary election to be conducted.

But Bwacha expressed confidence that the appallet court would resolve the issues in his favour.

“The issue of litigations will soon end and the people of Taraba want to form the APC government and I can assure you that we will not loose.

“We want to put an end to seasonal practice where politicians come from Abuja to contest elections, just to go back and look for appointments.

“The people of Taraba want to align with the center and I want to inform you that all the cases have been appealed.

“I want to call on my teeming supporters, not to be worried about the decision of the lower court.

“The National Secretariat of our party has intervened in the issue, but the happenings in the party especially the litigations are exacerbated by the activities of the opponents  at the state level.

“The National Chairman sat with the aggrieved members and my colleagues in the National Assembly too did the same thing, but you know  opponens in the state are  afraid of the APC hurricane that is coming to take over and are doing everything to stop it, but its too late now because the people of Taraba have seen light,” he said.
