Following the error bombing of Tudun Biri by the Army, the Catholic Arch Bishop of Kaduna Diocese, Arch Bishop Matthew Manoso Ndagoso on Friday visited Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital to sympathise with the victims
Archbishop Ndagoso said “this bombing has led many people into distress and in keeping with corporal work of mercy as Catholics, we decided to come and condole with the victims and thank the management of Barau Dikko for the attention giving them as most of the people are recovering quickly.
Ndagoso who said the people have lost alot of love ones, dependants and definitely need succour from sympathisers maintained that “our Country is at war.
According to him, for the past 14, 15 years, 40 of our Parishes are not functioning. It is because of the war situation and the military’s effort to end the war that this has happened. Error bombing is an act of accident. Perfection is only to God. These machines are made by human beings and are limited .
” It’s accident, the military have to do more. In Catholic theology, we say when in doubt, do not act. We call on the military to step up along that line.”
Earlier, the Chairman Medical Advisory Committee (CMAC) Dr. Shuaibu Musa commended the Christian body for the show of love stressing that a group of Pastors had visited earlier.
Dr. Musa confirmed that most of the patients are recovering speedily and all their bills footed by the State Government.
Also speaking, the Director Admin Alhaji Iliyasu Yusuf who received the gifts items and cash token of Two Hundred Thousand (200,000) from the Archdiocesan Team commended the church for identifying with the victims promising to judiciously utilized the donations.
