Kaduna Tiv Group Launches Appeal Funds To Build Multimillion Naira Hall cum Skills Acquisition Centre
The apex Tiv Socio-cultural organisation under the auspices of Mdzough U Tiv, MUT, Kaduna State chapter has launched an appeal fund to build Town Hall ( Ate U Tiv) and multi million naira skills acquisition centre to empower youths and women.
President Mdzough U Tiv Kaduna state chapter, Hon.David Chia, said when the Town Hall and skills acquisition centre project completes, it will uplift many youths and women out of poverty and joblessness.
Honerable Chia revealed that, the proposed edifice will serve as a hall for all forms of meetings, occasions, skill training and acquisition centre, as well as hub for traditional wears, foods, cultural materials and artifacts.
He however, urged Tiv sons and daughters to be united and work for progress of Tiv nation, saying with division no meaningful development will be achieved.
Also speaking, an elder stateman and one of the Mdzough U Tiv ilustrous sons High Chief James Wayo, maintained that “the present leadership of the Mzough U Tiv Kaduna State Chapter is the 18th Leader in the historical circle of the Mdzough U Tiv Kaduna State Chapter stressing that the “leadership has consulted widely and we 44fare confident that a touch of smile will reach many and lift them out of poverty”
On insecurity in the state, Wayo hailed Mallam Nasiru El-rufai strategies in combating the dreaded terrorist however pointed that “its looking more of a one man approach, the masses need to team up with the Government and when people are properly engaged maybe the relocation of villages along the dreaded Abuja Express way will not be necessary.”
Wayo pointed that, the 2500 youths targeted will increase job creation and a shared facility of the Chinese people is been copied and will be workable and sustainable.
“The Government of the state under the watch of Mallm El-rufai had been supportive to the ideas of youths and women empowerment, we appeal to him to support this skills and aquisition process that will create a roboost economy.
Earlier, Chairperson of the funds raising for Tiv Town Hall and Skill acquisition and Investment centre in Kaduna, who is also chairperson Nigerian Society of Engineers,NSE,Kaduna state chapter , Engr. Rachel Selumun Ugye, commended Kaduna MUT leadership led by Hon. David Chia for the project which when completed will empower youths and women in Kaduna and beyond to be self reliance.
Ugye said when the skills acquisition program commences all eligible applicants will be considered, noting that tailoring, soap making, food processing and storage, catering, computer repair and maintenance, carpentry and other skills will form part of the program.
On Government support, Chairman Planing Committee, Comrade Atule Emmanuel called on the Government of Benue and Kaduna States to support the empowerment of youths as hence more jobs will be created to engage energetic men and women who see crime as easy money making venture.
On his part, Deputy chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Kaduna state chapter and Resident pastor NKST Kaduna Central, Rev. Dr. Chris Annger, urged Tiv residents in Kaduna to unite for the completion of the project.
Pastor Vitalis Yahemba, General Overseer of Truth and Life Ministry, Kaduna, while calling for the support of Benue state government in actualising the Tiv Town hall and skills acquisition centre project in Kaduna, advised Tiv residents in Kaduna state and other northern states to be of good ambassadors of Tiv nation.
