Presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Prince Adewole Adebayo joined well-meaning Nigerians to celebrate the first coronation anniversary of the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse Ill.
Speaking at the event, Prince Adebayo prayed for the monarch asking God for long life and prosperity and also thank him for his pragmatic leadership style
The SDP candidate also use the opportunity to seek for the vote of the Deltans to vote for him and other SDP Candidates as the 2023 elections approach and also give kudos to the King for his support.
According to him, democracy will work in Nigeria if the SDP succeeds President Buhari during the poll.
The event attracted dignitaries from all walks of life from the state and beyond including the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege; Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa; a former governor of the state, Chief James Ibori; Senator James Manager.
Others were Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Chief Sheriff Oborevwori, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan who was represented by his wife, Mrs. Roli Uduaghan; Chief Kenneth Gbagi; Chief Great Ogboru and the Dein of Agbor Kingdom, HRM, Dr. Benjamin Ikenchukwu Keagborekuzi l among others.
Highlight of the ceremony where prayers were said for the Olu of Warri, Delta State and Nigeria at large, was a special thanksgiving to God by the monarch who was accompanied by Itsekiri Chiefs as well as sons and daughters of the Itsekiri nation.
